Fun popper November 29, 2008 Reviewer:  mary snow (california)  See all my reviews >

This machine looks really nice on the counter but doesn't take up too much space. Its a pretty vibrant retro red. Pops very well. Only thing is it makes 10 cups at a time so with our big family we are having to do many batches. Wouldn't be a problem if we didn't eat so much popcorn! Also need to purchase your own scoop to get it out of bottom. Little awkward space but I'm on the hunt for a good popcorn scooper.

Love it! December 15, 2008 Reviewer:  Love it "Linny" (PA)  See all my reviews >

I saw a lot of negative reviews and I am not sure why! On my first use the popcorn was kind of bland, but I added more oil and it tastes just like the movies!!!! Easy to use, a definate conversation piece. You can make 2 batches and have more than enough to share. Only a few old maids which are expected since that is how the "real" popcorn poppers work too. I guess it takes a lot to make some people happy, I had a funtime using this and am very excited to show it off.

Complete Garbage!!! December 9, 2008 Reviewer:  Branden in Barker "Branden" (Barker, NY)  See all my reviews >

I bought this stupid thing and tried it out. The popcorn kernels get stuck in the spinner and cause the motor to seize, stop working and burn the popcorn. Very cheaply made, flimsy and just not worth the money. Spend more on a better machine and avoid the frustration and aggravation. Also, the picture shows that it comes with a nice scoop and that did not come in the box nor is it supposed to. Sounds stupid, but try to get the popcorn out of the bottom without a scoop...I took it back the next day and got my money back...

Love it January 18, 2009 Reviewer:  S Williams See all my reviews >

I originally purchased a retro air popper made by the same company that my family was very unhappy with. We decided to pay a little more and try this unit. I read the reviews and was skeptical, but it works great! As long as you heat the kettle first, like the instruction book says too, then add the oil and then the kernels, you shouldn't have any problem. We have great tasting popcorn each time and the wand in the kennel has not stuck at all. There are very few unpopped kernels. We just wish it popped more in one batch.

*&#$%! December 31, 2008 Reviewer:  LadJr See all my reviews >

One star because no star is not an option. Got this hunk-a-junk for Xmas. Followed the instructions and heated the kettle prior to the first bacth. Put the oil and kernels in the piece-a-bad; still waiting for my popcorn. Looking for my receipt so that I can return it to the garbage man!

Bad Design December 26, 2008 Reviewer:  Burned Corn See all my reviews >

Cannot make any popcorn without the unit jamming on kernels, jamming motor and burning popcorn. Definitely does not work properly and is going back tomorrow as soon as the store opens.

Just read instructions and enjoy! May 29, 2009 Reviewer:  Colorado Mom (Colorado Springs, Co USA)  See all my reviews >

I bought this for my husband's birthday and yes the gears did freeze up but you have to understand this in new metal on metal. So we took a little Pam and sprayed the gears and it worked wonderfully. It is very important as stated in the instructions to warm the machine for 3-5 minutes. We loved it and recommend this machine to others. Perfect for family fun!!!!

Tastes Great! December 28, 2008 Reviewer:  Eureka (Cincinnati, OH)  See all my reviews >

My husband received this as a Christmas present and couldn't wait to use it. We made one batch and it jammed up, but we decided to make a second and it worked perfectly. We used a little less than the measuring cup provided and didn't experience any problems. The popcorn popped out of the top, just like the movie theaters. I recommend letting the oil heat up before putting the popcorn in. I do wish that it came with a scoop, but I knew that before my mother purchased this for my husband.

NOT AS EXPECTED December 28, 2008 Reviewer:  A. Depew Real Name (Carson City, NV)  See all my reviews >

I bought this as a gift for my entire family who LOOOVE popcorn. I was purely disappointed by several things. 1.) It left a TON of unpopped kernals (which flew all over the floor) 2.) Didn't really make a large quantity. I had to make about 6 batches to just semi satisfy the family 3.) Clean up was a total pain, etc. For the price I was hoping for something A LOT better than this.

Great gift for popcorn loving family! December 27, 2008 Reviewer:  B. K. Miller "gr8ati2d" Real Name (Calif. Valley)  See all my reviews >

I purchased this cute retro looking machine for my husband and children (who eat popcorn EVERY DAY) for Christmas. I also bought the movie theater popcorn kit that has the butter flavored oil and popcorn. I was thrilled when they unwrapped it; they immediatly wanted to make some popcorn. We carefully followed all the assembly and use directions. The popcorn really did taste like the movie theater kind. I make two batches for everyone to get a large serving, and just leaave the light on to keep it "fresh" while watching movies. Only a small amount of uncooked kernels, and a snack healthier than candy or cookies!
